On occasion, we like to bring special treats to the studio, a little something extra. It can be a specialty class, a costuming workshop, even a world-renowned instructor from far away lands! Bellydance Bra Workshop
Always wanted to make your own decorated bra, but didn't know where to start? This two part workshop will teach you the fundamentals, from covering your bra to delightful adornment.
November 5 at 1:00-3:00 pm: The infrastructure - How to cover your bra and add straps etc.
November 19 at 1:00-3:00 pm: The bling - tips for making your creation shine.
Materials WILL NOT be provided. Participants will be expected to bring:
- 1 bra - one size larger than you normally wear (cup and band size)
- 2.5 - 3 metres of fabric - all one colour if your cup cover and straps will be the same fabric, 1 or 1.5 of cup cover and 1.5 for straps if different fabrics. Fabric with some nap and stretch is easiest to use, such as stretch velvet. (additional length if fabric is patterned is recommended)
- 1 metre interfacing
- Button or beading thread or heavy gauge thread and a needle with a large eye
- Regular gauge thread to match your fabric(s)
- A set of rings or d-shaped metal belt loops
- Straight pins and sewing needles
- Measuring tape
- Decorations - coins, buttons, charms, shells, wide ribbon or trim
