We want to offer our students a fun alternative to our 10-week classes for this winter semester (possibly the spring and coming semesters as well). We’re going to be offering two types :
- “The Other Side of Dance” Series – specialty, one-time workshops held that covers topics you wouldn’t find in your regular bellydance classes, such as how to make your own costuming, discussion panels )about history or ‘going pro’ for example), hair and makeup tutorials, photoshoots, and more. It’s the ‘other side of dance’ for bellydancers. These workshops would be non-movement based.
- 5-Week Mini Classes – unique classes that are condensed into only 5 weeks and cover movements, and topics that you wouldn’t find in your regular bellydance classes either. These classes may include Arms & Hands (only), Floorwork (only), Swords or other props (only… see a trend?), hand drumming, drum solos, and more! It’s a special class devoted to one topic that spans over 5-weeks. You may have touched on these topics in your regular classes, but now’s your chance to dive in, head first, and really focus your time and efforts on improving these specific tricky-areas.
To help us figure out what you’d most like to see, we’re hoping that you’ll take a mere 5 minutes of your time and complete these 2 surveys.

Just in time for the holidays, and for the Student Showcase, it’s our Jingles All the Way event!
Jingle Bellydance Boutique will be open for your shopping pleasure. Come in and pick out something special for yourself. Or, better yet, fill out a “Santa Please” list at Jingles and send your family and friends in to pick out goodies to fill your stocking with sparkly goodness.
There will be in-store specials that day, as well as holiday treats and music. It’s also a great time to pick up gift certificates for classes and for Jingles merchandise for loved ones. So come along, celebrate the season and get geared up for the showcase!
Here’s how it works. Red stars = 10% off. Yellow stars = 20% off. Blue stars = 30% off. Purple Stars are 40% off. Purchases of $100 and over get a $10 gift certificate for Jingles.

Downtown Christmas Parade Viewing Party – Sun Nov 27

Christmas is just around the corner, and to kick off the holiday season the annual Downtown Christmas Parade will be happening on Sunday, November 27 starting at 1:00pm. We all like Santa, the dancers, the beagles, the floats and the holiday cheer, so why not grab your friends and join us at Wild Lily to watch the parade in warmth and peace.
Doors @ Wild Lily open: 11:30am
Open Studio Time: 11:30am – 1:00pm
($5.00 per person please, bring your personal music player with headphones)
Parade Starts: 1:00pm

Bra-Making Workshop

Always wanted to make your own decorated bra, but didn’t know where to start? This two part workshop will teach you the fundamentals, from covering your bra to adornment.
November 5, 1-3 pm: The infrastructure – How to cover your bra and add straps etc.
November 19. 1-3 pm: The bling – tips for making your creation shine.

Contemporary Dance Workshop

Contemporary – An intense combination of ballet, jazz and modern technique. Learn how to express your emotions through dance. Heavily based on the teachings of Martha Graham and here outlook and the modern dance form. Great way to stretch and help elongate the entire body
