Wild Lily Dance Centre was established in 2009 and continues the legacy of dance created by The Neighbourhood Strays over the previous 6 years in St. John’s. Wild Lily is an all encompassing, professional school of dance operated by Vanessa Paddock and Lori Savory.

We offer classes in the forgotten and non-traditional (to Newfoundland) dance genres such as Bellydance, Bollywood and Indian Dance and Flamenco, as well as cross training in Yoga and Hoop Fitness. Our instructors are trained professional dancers, fitness instructors and teachers who have a strong passion for sharing their style, and this ensures that our students will receive quality instruction. We focus our efforts to inspire a love of all dance forms, and a eagerness to learn more in our students so that they can gain the confidence and skills to express themselves through dance. Wild Lily Dance Centre is an open, friendly and welcoming space for all dancers, performers and artists: a place to call your own as you discover the other side of dance.

We also offer our beautiful 2 studios and facilities for rentals to groups, businesses or individuals who need some space for meetings, receptions, rehearsals, performance space, conferences or presentations. Wild Lily Dance Centre also houses Jingles Bellydance Boutique, a dance costuming shop, with particular focus in bellydance costuming, for those who wish to purchase materials and costume pieces for classes, performances, or enjoyment. We’re the first costuming shop of our kind in Newfoundland and we have all of the essentials that you’ve been waiting for; fringe, skirts, tassle belts, cholis, hip scarves, coin belts, jewelry and much, much more. Store hours are not consistent each week, but you can email lori@wildlilydancecentre.com to arrange a time, or drop by on Sundays between 3:00-5:00pm and see Lori or Vanessa.
